Six ill-destined vagabond children come across an old chivalry Wang Lao-pa by chance in a reformatory house. They develop unusual friendship.

The old chivalry, thoughtfully, advises them to get a root after quitting the reformatory house. The six kids are extremely touched. As soon as they make farewells, the cheerfully return and tell Wang that they have got a home and ask him to be their dad. So much a surprise, Wang is scared and run to escape, and the six kids immediately chase.

On the way, they run into a quick-witted young lady Chao Niu. She gets Wang for the six kids. The kids are so thrilled and ask her to be their mother. However, Wang and Chao Niu are always in a disharmony. By an opportunity when the eight, with their teamwork, rescue themselves from a potential disaster, the disharmony fades into history, and they build a warm and sweet home after all.
